Hello and welcome to Small Backpacks! Over the coming months I will be developing this site to provide all of the information you need on this popular style, from the models available to where you can procure them. Be sure to bookmark the page and return!
As somebody who loves the outdoors and independent travel, I’m all too familiar with the small backpack. I use them for everything from day-hikes in the mountains to carrying my laptop on the plane to carrying the shopping. They really are that versatile! Sometimes I carry it full on my back, sometimes just slung over one shoulder like a conventional bag.
Whilst I am not too fussed about actualy style and colour, the great thing is that if you do care, there is plenty of choice. This is particularly true if you are looking for a backpack for kids. They seem to come in just about every bright colour, usually adorned with just about every possible favourite character that a child could wish for!
The other thing you will notice is that how small backpacks are marketed under all sorts of niche types. So there are leather ones, laptop/notebook ones, daypacks, camera ones etc etc.Often, the term “rucksack” may be used instead of “backpack”, but you are essentially looking at a similar thing.
If you are looking for an adult version I would personally go for something quite versatile. If it is for a child I would consider first showing the child some different options so that they can pick their favourite colour or character. With kids, last week’s vogue may not be this week’s!
